Now that the vaccine has started to be distributed I have started having regular conversations on the subject of "Are you going to get the vaccine?"

My answer is always "Fuck no. I don't think it is safe." About 75% of the time I see a relieved look on their face when they realize that they do not have to have an uncomfortable conversation. I live in a very left\blue location and even here the acceptance level for the vaccine is shockingly low. Even the sheeple can tell when something smells like a pile of shit.

But about 25% of the time it is clear that the person I am talking to is in the other camp... and they always challenge me. They think they are going to score an easy win against a 'crazy anti-vaxer' ... but I have perfected a very quick and strait forward argument that disarms them and has been very successful in making them stop and think

When they launch into "But why!?!?!" they typically want to get into herd immunity, social responsibility, protecting the at-risk, etc. but I don't let them. I stop them and say "Look, I am a huge supporter of vaccines. I'm not an anti-vaxer. My issue with the covid 'vaccine' (I use finger air quotes) is that it is not really a vaccine. It is Experimental Gene Therapy. A normal vaccine teaches your immune system to make the proper anti-bodies by exposing it to a dead or weakened versions of the virus so your immune system can learn to fight it in a safe way... The covid shot is gene therapy to edit your genetics to make you have a resistance to the virus. This is risky medicine and we have NEVER tried this before. No vaccine has ever been produced that works in this way and we have no idea what will happen when we start monkeying with people's DNA"

I have found this argument, and specifically calling it 'Experimental Gene Therapy' to be a successful argument. It really make them think and often I hear "I did not know that... now I need to go do some research."

In my day to day life I have stopped calling it the "Covid-19 Vaccine" and I will always call it 'Covid-19 resistance gene therapy'. This has created conversation opportunities where there had been none and I think i have helped a number of people to wake up a little.
