Ya, we have heavy red clay, so it makes it sticky and heavy but at least it's not like digging into a rock.

I dont usually have to dig post holes or footings anymore, we either use piles, which you cant really use for a fence. Id hire a guy to come in with an auger fuck that shit. Digging post holes is the worst.

It really is. And in the rain it's washing dirt back into the hole. I hope you have a good helper. Makes it easier.
