If time travel ever becomes common, then our own history is the product of people using time travel to fuck with it. Future humans chose to have Hitler lose WW2. Future humans chose to allow the holodomar. Future humans were responsible for preventing the cold war from erupting into a full scale nuclear devastation. A while back, there was a message board for time travelers, and they'd tell about their time traveling adventures.

Board noobs would get on and brag about how he killed Hitler, and then the veteran members would have to go back to repair all the sloppy mistakes the noobs made. Usually this involved killing the noob before the noob killed Hitler.

It was a fucking mess. Eventually, the timeline was altered to the point where time travel never was invented and now we are stuck.
