Look, poal supports free speech but that does not mean you can go to a sub that does not support free speech and call the mod a cunt expecting nothing to come of it. If you came in to my house/sub and did that I'd bounce your ass out just as fast. Not all subs are the same. Pay attention to the rules. We all got lazy on voat because mods there didn't give a shit. Clearly, some of these mods do!

No, I do not believe all of poal should be 100% free speech because that forces all mods to accept all content. You can't force me to listen to rap music in my house!

Cooking post going in the cooking sub and has nothing to do with anything but cooking if that is what the mod wants. In time, ex-goats will be able to create subs with whatever rules they want as long as they don't violate site wide rules. This is also good. Someone other than us is accountable for some content others could post. Don't think so? Post a death threat and the site owner will have to deal with it first. Or even the hosting provider.

I've noticed there were a handful of new users (user?) that showed up, and immediately starting harping on site policies and the admin team as if they knew who these people and polices were, but would cry when you called them on it. Yes, I know, how Jewish. These people were obviously here in an effort to change things to their liking and/or just be angry because be angry, all the while claiming they were innocent of the crimes they obviously committed.

Free speech is your right to say what you want, but it doesn't protect you against private parties telling you that you're a faugette for doing so and then banning you for being a twatwaffle.

Well put. It was very likely a shill operation on Voat, potentially through the use of the /v/ProtectVoat community, to convince goats to view moderators doing their job as an affront to freedom of speech.

The important point has always been how the admins treat freedom of speech (and the extent to which we have freedom to create subs of our own). If certain subs want to strictly enforce their rules so every sub doesn't become a "catch-all", that is totally justified. There are other subs for content that just doesn't belong in .

I’m well aware that censorship is more likely to happen here than it was on Voat, it is what it is. Still it’s far more free speech oriented than most other locations. This site is like Voat but at 50% of its former free speech power, which is still far better than reddit, and there’s still quite the aggregate of useful/interesting articles typically shunned everywhere else. I’ll take it

This is the worst, cyclical thinking I've ever heard. By this logic, Eddit is better than VOAT because it's still around. Eddit is also better than Poal because it's been around longer... same goes for Jewbook and the like.

I used voat and poal in my example because they are similar. This is the very reason goats came here in the first place and did not go to reddit. For rational, educated and reasonable people in all modern cultures, this is understood and goes with out saying. If you disagree, and you clearly do, a conversation with you could be used as punishment. Having to describe each and every detail of the hamburger bun top, where each seed was and the texture, color, position, temperature and thermodynamics of each thing on the burger before you picked it up to try it while attempting to tell me how the burger was. It would take years to hear a complete story from you about your last trip to the fucking gas station where nothing happened and you only put $5 dollars in.

I hope you get out more and interact with people. Work on those communication skills.
