Anyone have any idea why that might of happened, or is this just arbitrary manipulation by moderators.

Mentioning other boards doesn't do anything unless you're being an ass about it. There are meanwhile subs for both Reddit and Voat, and probably one for Ruqqus now but I haven't checked.
