I've had an opportunity to listen to a man speak about listening and speaking with people. I wish I could speak on listening the same way he did, but there is merit in engaging people who are of one mindset, de-escalating, and engaging them to understand how they got to that point. You may be able to start finding ways to change their minds eventually.

Not an easy thing by any stretch of the imagination, and it may not be possible. But I'm doing my best to keep my eyes open for opportunities to engage with people who don't agree with me and attempt to engage them.

I know that a lot of them act as though their brains are hardwired one way, but the truth of the matter is that in order to reconcile our countries and to make them whole we need to be able to reach out and if nothing else be willing to extend a hand to start. If you've done that PossibleZombie22, my hat is off to you. It's a difficult thing and something I'm still learning to do myself. My coworkers and my brother are my objectives now. It's a difficult road and one that I don't want to have to deal with, but one that needs to be walked.

I like your premise but its nieve. I'll be blunt there are black people and there are niggers. Niggers are the mobs of idiots in black losers matter, looting and burning shit to get thier way. My neighborhood is full of niggers and crackheads you want to preach to people like that, good luck. I prefer to avoid them.

I agree, but I have to start somewhere. I don't know the people where you are and it sounds like it's a rough crowd at best- I wish you the best of luck getting to know people anywhere or getting to someplace better.
