Yeah and white pine is not used down here (Tx ) It was an amish type kit sold for a barn, we turned it into a house.

White pine grow in hardiness zones 2-7, Texas hardiness zones 6-8 is going to see long leaf pine mostly, but there is some overlap, not saying white pine wont grow there but it's not ideal. Partial to scots pine, myself. Very hardy.
