Nothing pushed me more far away from google than a browser in incognito mode
Because, if by default your browser is set to "incognito"... You always have the google "agree to TOS" blocking pop up every time you go to google for the first time... And in incognito, it's every time you open your browser... Duckduckgo doesn't ask for such things...
Normies like incognito mode, they need to retype their passwords everytime they log into an online service but they don't mind much about that on desktop, incognito gives them a pseudo/false sense of privacy/anonymity, it's more securing when the entire youtube and google don't remind you (and everybody else using your pc) what you just searched and watched since the beginning of times... I usually set the browser to incognito by default every time I can when I customize a normie's computer, I also set duckduckgo as default, and I explain why I do all that and they get it
