90gb isn’t a lot so you can probably grab a new drive for like 20$ or less

Set up a mirrored RAID array. I learned this lesson the hard way some time ago. Well, almost.. actually gave the drive a good whack and was able to siphon off the data out through the ethernet port.. then it never worked again. So yeah.. mirrored. If one dies, I can still access the other one.

RAID 1 or 5 or 10 depending on your budget and how important the data are.
I also use a 6TB (2*3TB) RAID 0 (Stripped) as a movie storage, as it doesn’t matter if it crashes.
