The recipe I looked up said I needed yoghurt, tomatoes, and ghee.
I didn't have any of those things, so I used milk, tomato puree and butter instead.
It still turned out better than I expected for my first try, but I used two large tablespoons of real butter which isnt exactly healthy. But it was like a stronger mix of butter chicken and tikka masala ready sauces from a jar.
I also lacked the following ingredients - bay leaves, cumin, saffron, raisins and almonds but it was still nice without any of those. I had all the rest of the spices plus lemons and onions I needed.
Forgot to take a picture. I need a healthier substitute for the butter but then it wouldn't taste as good and I dont think you can actually buy 'ghee' you have to make it yourself.
