The murderer/antifa guy's Instagram page states he's a "Snowboarder for Deviation Ski and Snowboards", yet the company website claims he was never affiliated with them.

Deviation has been made aware that someone claiming to be a Deviation employee is alleged to have been involved in the shooting that happened at the Portland protests this weekend. The individual being mentioned is not currently and has never been an employee or sponsored athlete of Deviation. All of us at Deviation are deeply troubled to learn about the violence that took place and we unconditionally condemn the use of violence by anyone.

So:

Was this dude posing as a pro snowboarder to seem cool? Is he some kind of schizophrenic who believes he's a brand rep?

Is the company trying to cover their ass? Did they straight up forget about a former employee/sponsored athlete?

Is this all some kind of scripted scenario where someone was careless in creating a background story?

"I'm a driver for chevy aka the best car on the planet."

"I'm an eater for mcdonalds aka the best food in the universe."

I don't think he worked for them. If he had any connection then he'd be a bit more descriptive.

It's a bio, so I'd wager there's a character limit.

The examples you gave aren't something a person would use to describe themselves. The quote from the Instagram bio would lead a reader to believe he was a sponsored athlete.

I'm not saying this is something that's evidence of conspiracy or whatever. It's just curious.

Edit: like I said originally, maybe he's just a poser
