These types of places inevitably degrade to shit holes.
Back in the days of /b/, there was a lot of organization, shared humor, general drive and comfy frenships.
There's a reason that place was filled with porn, /pol/ was created to divide us and the supposed "hacker group, Anonymous" sprung up.
The entire point was to derail our capabilities, to curtail our under-the-radar expansion and to ensure we never got close to doing it again.
If you're thinking that small masculine gatherings largely popularized by their welcoming atmosphere and genuine appeal to intelligent young men in search of identity were ever organically divided and conquered, you're wrong.
This goes all the way back to the Hermetic Masons who were once noble men and who shared their brotherhood so that people wouldn't try to stop them. This is why they became so secretive.
A certain group of people have made it their life's goal to be certain young intelligent men don't have any chance of forming tight knit groups to do the very thing the founding fathers did - figure this fucking Game out.
The stuff I'm interested in seems to have pulled back into smaller groups where you have to know the others to be a part of. Whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen.
