Instead of caffeine, maybe try low doses of kratom. I hear it lasts longer, no jitters, and there's no withdrawal. Apparently 3g doses of niacin (NOT niacinamide), every night before bed, will do fun things to your body that will re-balance your brain chemistry and make you more content being sober. People that quit drinking for years but never felt better, apparently do so once they do the niacin thing. Hell, I did it and can attest that the cravings almost completely went away. I still drink regularly, but try to make sure I always replenish B/K/C vitamins, and also take Maca root extract/korean red ginseng/fish oil pills daily.

What can I say? I feel generally about the same, but these days tend to have more good days than bad days (mental clarity, fatigue, etc). Which, hey: I'll take it. Better than what it was before.

Kratom is great. I’ve been taking around 4-6 teaspoons a day for a while now. It’s almost the perfect supplement. I like to wash my kratom down with a coffee in the morning so I get the initial caffeine kick followed by the kratom boost about 30-45 minutes later. It helps make work breeze by.
