The furthest back we could trace on my mother's side, came over with the French Fur traders, long before there were a full 13 colonies.
The furthest back on my dad's came over on the Mayflower. Another came over during the French and Indian War to fight.... the French and Indians. Survived the Braddock Expedition, and served with Washington for the rest of the war. Then, once the American Revolution started, he signed right back up with Washington again.
Family of farmers on both sides until my parents, and I plan to get back into it. My family built this country from nothing. Welfare was a strong back.
