I took my girl out to one of the local breweries for dinner. It was rather interesting how they had the place setup. The were large plastic dividers on the bar that could be moved to accommodate your party size. I thought this was a great idea. This way the bar can keep the state off their back while not losing any seats at the bar. The tables had plastic dividers attached to the back of the booths which went up to isolate them. Tables were spaced out to the six foot rule.

The staff was wearing masks as required. Only one customer came in with a mask, he stopped in for to-go beer. Everyone else was maskless (the horror! /s).

The place didn't have very many people, which was kind of sad. Normally on a Friday it would be packed. I tipped very well, I'm sure these girls weren't making near what they are used to.

It was nice to get out and be around strangers who were not buying into this state lockdown BS. Everyone was having a good time.

Great to hear this. I'm also not surprised you tipped well. Did you remember the new Covid Drinking Rule? If the bar is set up for half capacity you have to drink twice as much, to make up for it.

Fucking blasphemy. Bars are communal spaces that should allow for the making of new friends.

It actually was not hard to chat between them. First thing I did after I sat down was knock on it like knocking on a neighbor's door and started chatting with the bloke next to me.

Add sound proofing to the dividers for great justice. Oh man some of the convos I have heard especially in the politics range of discussion have been enough to make me "check please." the fuck out.
