Ten years ago they sent someone to my house because I failed to mail in the form. I said I never received one and suggested they use Registered Mail in 2020.
This year we supposedly got a card with an access code to use when competing the form online. I have no idea where that is or whether we even received it. Friends tell me they follow up with another card threatening fines and jail time but that also hasn't arrived.
I suppose that if they send someone around this year I'll tell them what I told the last one. I'd like an attorney present when answering questions.
Did they take your information in person then?
I ended up getting two letters and a postcard.
I finally did it. I don't mind, I understand they need the info for congressional districts. What annoyed me is they made a big stink about asking if you're a citizen. Oh we can't have that! Yet there are questions about race and gender.
The only information I gave them was the number of people living in the house. I wouldn't give names or ages, or any other information without an attorney present. They eventually left in frustration and nothing else came of it.
