My Gallium OS Chromebook went tits up a little while ago. No choice but to wipe it clean and install a fresh copy of the OS.
Good thing I run a backup every night - I didn't lose any day. The only think that didn't save correctly (and I don't know why) was my bookmarks file. I'm going to have to rebuild those from an earlier backup.

You have a Chromebook and didn't sync the bookmarks? Why not? That's an automatic backup.

I wiped Chrome OS from it and installed Gallium OS.
