>I can only tell you what I am doing in my little world.....I have been warned about my supply chain breaks that are coming. We have electronics stores that deal in car audio. The biggest problem for us will be the plastic Dash Kits by a company called METRA. We have already received letters from Metra saying there is going to be big problems going forward. It is amazing how every company that I have received letters from gives NO SPECIFICS...No model numbers, no time frame...nothing. So what we are doing is tomorrow I am placing the largest order we have ever placed for Car stereo Dash kits for the most common cars. If we don't have these parts, we are done in the car audio arena. I am going to order 6 months to a years worth of parts. If I were not on ZH...I would probably not be aware of what is going on. Once I place this order we will be set...then with electronics, we are placing enormous orders with Kenwood, Pioneer, Kicker, and Alpine on key items that I think will run out first. Remember...he who panics first panics best. We have the capital to do it...and why not....? Again...this is just me in my little world...imagine what will happen when word gets out that there is a PROBLEM with supply on any item? Toilet Paper...Kleenex....paper towels...anything. If you own a business....think about the top 10 items you need to stay operating....what if you called to order tomorrow and they said "Sorry...no more of that item with no time frame of when we will have it again.." This is a very big deal. And if I make these purchases tomorrow...and nothing happens...great...I have the stuff I need and don't need to order for a while...but if things play out like I think they may, I am doing the right thing to keep paychecks coming to my employees....without these stupid little plastic parts...we are fucked. On a side note...My new mask just arrived from Amazon. My wife has been teasing me about the prepping stuff...and you know what? The mask arrived with the cartridges......and I only got one...are you ready for what she just said??....."I WANT ONE." Oh how things change so fast.

get a 3d printer and study. or at least make contact with someone who will.

Idk if it's that suited for autoparts... (since the end product with 3d printing looks horribly cheap) But yeah.... At some point it might turn out to be an option... The only one left

nobody with any brains will buy from china again.

We don't know how long the virus can last without host, last time I checked there was a one week floating around, but then that's not based on any scientific evidence, this is a (rather pessimistic) educated guess at best based on lame numbers coming out of china. It's conjectures.

So, for the sake of the argument, let's say it simply can't live outside a host, implying that shipping a package from china won't result in any infection at the receiving end

It doesn't change the fact that the infection rate is huge, and workers not only can't work while being infected for obvious reasons, but also, they can be reinfected again and again and over again

While the lethality of the virus isn't that big, its disruption power is massive economically and socially speaking
