Recommend one mid price? $40 to 50 range? Or if a good one is cheaper. Im really tied to habit. I drink the same thing and do the same thing all the time.
Great start would be Crown Royal Northern Harvest for 35 bucks.

90% rye. OP was asking for cheap. Northern Harvest is excellent if you never had rye before.
There's a million in that range (for a fifth) but Bulleit is a good standby you can get anywhere. High West double rye is a good but modest upgrade. Some people like Sazerac but I prefer Bulleit over that.
Also wild turkey 101, while technically a bourbon, seems similar to a rye to me.
Yeah I was talking handle. Guy who used to own store here when he was out of my choice gave me whatever for same cost. Wild turkey 101 was usually the choice, it was only like $3 more, didnt want to take advantage of him.
I guess it depends where you are but I think you could get Bulleit rye or turkey 101 for less than 50.
