I think we have the amount of volume where crossposting is ok and even necessary. The volume on /all/new is such that I've taken to checking /new from time to time instead to catch up on the new posts specifically from subs I follow.

That said, I think crossposting is helpful when it's from a big sub to a niche sub, vice versa, or across multiple smaller niche subs. It is not helpful if you're posting something to /s/news, /s/worldnews, and /s/politics. But it's the users' call.
