They are good at memorizing. And maybe not even that so much as just spend a lot of time studying. But they have little to no imagination or creativity. They are great at math when told what to do with it but when left alone don't know how to apply their knowledge to create and produce something. They make great lab drones.

People capable of a lot of creativity, but bankrupt when it comes to hard work, self discipline, and memorizing shit

I see what you mean, but I know at least one who's actually smart, for real, not just good at memorizing, I'm talking about cognitive skills
And creativity... A lot of fields don't require much creativity, if any

I agree with everything you have said, entitlement and thinking that we are the best in the world has made use weak. Americans have never really had to fight for what we want, at least not in several generations.
