In the spirit of the season, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all. Losing my dad, , was the worst moment of my life in an already shitty year. Hearing all of your stories, remembrances and love you shared for him kept his spirit not only alive, but thriving. It brings me great joy to see that he is still having an impact on this site, as he will continue to have in my life.

In case anyone is curious, here are a few updates. We were able to get my mom moved into a retirement center. She is doing so well, it's unreal. She is happy, healthy and thriving. We also had a really lovely Thanksgiving with dad's family. They came all the way from Pennsylvania to visit us in Utah. We rented a huge house in Park City, made a ton of food, drank A LOT and just had so much fun. One of the worst snow storms hit us too, so it was extra magical! While I wish he was still here with us to enjoy these moments, I know he is smiling down on us, proud of everything we have accomplished in the worst of times and glad to see us keep our smiles. Christmas is going to be tough since he loved it so much, but I know he's around, if only in our souls.

Anyway, lots of love to you all. I hope your holiday, however you celebrate, is filled with warmth and love. That's what the owl would have wanted.

Remember, Death is a choice.
Say his name. Say it out loud.

It's pretty cool that this whole time, the owl kept watching us.
Thanks for checking in.

He's always around. My family keep coming across owls in the most unusual places. He's always around :)

Death is a choice.

Is aging also a choice?

How can one decide against it?

Heh...

I'm not sure we should really get in to this here.

To answer your first question; yes, more or less.
The second question is where things get a bit weird.

Scientists are already working on actually rescuing us humans from these things.

What happens if you say his name three times?
