One of the worst things to me is the whole AA thing of only a higher power can help you fight the disease of addiction. Motherfucker, addiction isnt a disease, and expecting a higher power to help is weak bullshit, through your willpower and your willpower alone can you defeat addiction. Unless god himself slaps the crack out of your hands every time you try and pick it up. I firmly believe that religion works against personal accountability. You can be a shit, but as long as you receive absolution its hunky dory. Its not your fault you suck and bad things happen to you, its all part of gods plan. Bullshit. Be accountable. Make better decisions. Don't wrong people in the first place instead of asking for forgiveness later. Be a decent person for the sake of being decent, not because some entity might be judging you, but for the betterment of yourself and of society.
