My brother in law is an auditor and said exactly this. He said anyone can get locked up for tax code violations if the government really wants to go after you. Same with "wire fraud" for anything you say or do on the internet. These types of laws are just a catch all so that the government can take you down if you pose a threat, or don't pay the right price.

Indeed. Filing state and federal is a whole fucking ordeal. They overcomplicate that shit. A government's tax code should be simple enough for most retards to understand since they have literal retards paying taxes. Bag boy at my local grocery store pays taxes and files returns... Has to pay others to do so. How is that right? A good guy trying to do the right thing that wouldn't be able to live independently w/o having someone else file his taxes for him b/c he'd never get the benefits and amount owed shit straight.
