It’s the weakening magnetic field. Or so I’ve read. UVCs are now able to penetrate the atmosphere. I’m inclined to think it’s true. I’ve worked outside my whole life. There are many days now where the sun just stings like a motherfukr. It’s white hot and not the softer yellow light of years ago. The canvas awnings I make for the west side of my patio used to last 3-4 years. Now I’m lucky to get two years out of them. FYI sunscreen is designed to give you skin cancer.
