I gave it a go... I really, really wanted to like it... I got it in my head that this is a different turn of the wheel (like they have been saying) but it just isn't working. I'm so beyond disappointed in it. As soon as I saw the showrunner was a gay jew pedo I knew it was gonna be shit. He has repeatedly referred to this project as "The wheel of rafe (his name)", rather than the wheel of time, and he is intent on telling his own story. Like ffs, why even bother calling it the wheel of time then if you are just going to make shit up. They have already ruined multiple important world things, not to mention destroying nearly every character... and this dragon could be a boy or a girl thing... just WTF??? NO IT CANT. It's a fucking man. That's the entire fucking point of the entire fucking thing. If it was a woman it would all be fine. The point is that it's a man and its a race against time to defeat the dark one before the dragon goes mad and breaks the world again. They just fuck EVERYTHING up. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Yup. They like to Focus on the girl aspect. And how can we put more gay stuff in there.

I suggest reading the books. I remember reading them before sleeping. And I had to make myself put the book Down. This Amazon crap is fluff-stuff with some special effect and “you go girl” trash.

I have the books in both physical form and audiobook. Must have read/listened to them 10 times, they are my absolute favorites. I'm glad I'm not alone in my opinions on this monstrosity, so many people are praising it... and just.... anyone who has read even the first book should realize there are SO MANY world changing problems.

I haven't seen any episode or movie in at least 2 years. Except for maybe going back to an old classic I haven't seen.

I watched one movie somewhat recently and it was a really fucked up experience. The whole time I thought, this is so boring and stupid, and super fake. Why did I, or anybody ever watch this stupid shit? They aren't even acting, there is a formula and why would I care to see it play out.

I felt like the guy from "Super Size Me" who ate Mcdonalds for the first time in his life in his 30s and just immediately puked it out.

Are the books really that good?

Depending on your taste. Yes.

Basically, it's a story of a group of country folk, with country folk values whose mind set and way of thinking saves the world.

It's the opposite of everything you see on TV and in movies.

It also parallels a lot of other mythology and fantasy series.

The books are long and there are 14 of them, so, when people do find it to their liking, it becomes the most immersive work they've ever read.

Fantasy just isn't for everyone, though, so it's always hard for me to recommend.

Personally, I read the first one when it came out. I, then, read every subsequent one when they came out.

In anticipation of the series, I read the whole thing again.

There are a few comic sites and torrent sites that have the graphic novels.

I'd recommend seeing if you like those, first.

The world is huge, so you should start at the "Eye of the World" graphic novel, first. "New Spring" is a prequel, but it has so much stuff that doesn't make sense until you get to know the world a little bit.

But those are just two books in the series. I do not believe they intend to finish, as the death of the author made had too great an impact on the process.

But, they are fast and easy to read and the art is top notch. If you like them, then try the books.

Thanks man. I loved the David eddings series 'the belgariad' and 'malorean' series. 10 books in total. Love those stories. I'm interested in the graphic novels you mentioned. Any chance you have a link to those?

I liked David Eddings.

Raymond Feist was always one of my favorites, when I was younger, though I fell off awhile back. He is still cranking them out.

I rarely have time to read fiction, anymore, and I find most of it to be heavily biased against my own personal values, these days, to the extent that much of it feels like an attack.

Yes. Yes they are. Given there's 14 of them, they are all insanely long, and there is of course fluff in there - they are incredible. The world building is amazing, the characters each get their own arcs in the story. It's great.

I heard instead of a White hero, there was a nigger hero.
