Recently, I made a good faith effort to watch Netflix's Bridgerton. I hoped for a reasonable facsimile of Julia Quinn's novels or even Downton Abbey. What I saw was a thin 2 dimensional characteture version of the original series except they sprinkled in black face characters as leading roles. We're talking a period piece here. In 1813 blacks were a small minority. There were not lots of blacks living in England, let alone aristocracy blacks. Unwatchable.
