No he's a damn retard. You need vitamin C or you will die of scurvy. Carbohydrates just mean you need more of it.

[–] 1 pt

Even meat has vitamin c in it. Everyone just burns their meat evaporating the water soluble vitamins.

These days, for every link you show me, whether true or not I can show you one to refute it. Vit C isnt like a question whether eggs are good for you or not.

Check the year the study was published, 1943! It's old knowledge, experimentally proven, but sure stay close minded.

[–] 2 pts

but if you dont eat carbs you wont need it when youre dead

I ate nothing but bacon eggs and ribeyes for 6 months. Never took a single vitamin and felt amazing. No scurvy. No gout. Blood tests reults were improved across all measures, even cholesterol.

On a side note, to those calling people idiots or fools because it goes against what you have been taught to believe, that is anti intellectual and the opposite of seeking the truth.

Who the hell doesn't eat carbs? Also, what is the harm in taking it regardless? Does it not boost the immune system as we are taught?

Who the hell doesn't eat carbs?

Lean people. Most of humanity until recently.

I'm not being sarcastic, I am genuine here. Has breads and pastas not been a staple food for a very long time?

The Agricultural Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

With modern wheat? No. Same with rice.

The GMO foods are made to maximize yield/profit, and make the consumer addicted. We didn't always have year-round access to seasonal veggies & fruits, or eat more than 1-2 times per day.

You can eat carbs, its not going to kill you as you said plenty of societies have eaten grains for a long time. The issues are more the glyphosate and other stuff they use to grow it, and mechanically separating the least nutritious part for white bread then bleaching it further. If you eat plenty of red meat, you can also eat bread its not a problem. I'll still be watching vitamin c, though most people aren't deficient. Most people are low in iodine, magnesium, vitamin D, and some other things though

Their shite and lead to intestinal problems over time if they havent already

A high fat diet would be ideal for energy production. Most peoples bodies so shite that it might take a while to get going

Bullshit. you a jew? trying to get us sick? get bent.

There is also some vitamin C in meat. Not much, but it's there and there is enough of it if you don't eat carbs.

It makes sense why we lost the ability to produce vitamin C: If you eat just meat, you don't need it, or get enough of it from meat alone. If you eat carbs, you ingest vitamin C along with carbs.

In neither case do you need to produce it. It's like the abysmal carps losing their eyes over thousands of generations because they have no need for them.

Vitamin C only becomes a problem if you eat a very unhealthy diet high in highly processed foods such as pasta and nothing else.

The problem is most people cook their meat. Vitamin c is a water soluble vitamin so away it goes when cooked.

EAT TARTAR BITCHES

When animals get sick most have their body produce Mass amounts of vitamin c. We cant.

Eating some carbs increases testosterone production. Keyword some, don't go full fatass or full Carnavore

[–] 1 pt

So I can eat a ton of carbs if I take plenty vitamin C?

If p then q doesn't imply if q then p. Simple logic.

You could at least tell him about the equivalence of the contrapositive.

[–] 0 pt

You can do whatever you want. But it's hard for your body to digest carbs without vitamin c.

[–] 0 pt

So how come you get scurvy?

[–] 2 pts

Grog is liquid carbs

[–] 1 pt

So how come limes cure scurvy?

[–] 3 pts (edited )

Because they contain vitamin C.

Scurvy pathogenesis

Vitamins are essential to the production and use of enzymes that are involved in ongoing processes throughout the human body.[6] Ascorbic acid is needed for a variety of biosynthetic pathways, by accelerating hydroxylation and amidation reactions. In the synthesis of collagen, ascorbic acid is required as a cofactor for prolyl hydroxylase and lysyl hydroxylase. These two enzymes are responsible for the hydroxylation of the proline and lysine amino acids in collagen. Hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine are important for stabilizing collagen by cross-linking the propeptides in collagen.

Collagen is a primary structural protein in the human body, necessary for healthy blood vessels, muscle, skin, bone, cartilage, and other connective tissues. Defective connective tissue leads to fragile capillaries, resulting in abnormal bleeding, bruising, and internal hemorrhaging. Collagen is an important part of bone, so bone formation is also affected. Teeth loosen, bones break more easily, and once-healed breaks may recur.[6] Defective collagen fibrillogenesis impairs wound healing. Untreated scurvy is invariably fatal.[16]

Scurvy is vitamin C deficiency. It's more common to see broad vitamin deficiency and the associated symptoms. Sailors weren't starving, but they consumed the same unbalanced diet for months at a time. The history of scurvy goes back thousands of years. Different treatments were found across Europe and Asia long before vitamins were conceived of.

Same reason diabetes leads to necrosis.

Not true.

Our body needs vit C. And humans unlike almost every other animal doesn't covert sugars to vitamin C.
