You need a wallet and an exchange. Exchanges you don't own the coin but they are cheap and easy to trade on. It's when you withdraw to a wallet that they hit you with fees. Wallets you own. Trustwallet is the best soft wallet. Ledger is good for hard wallet but do your own research on both. Using swap clearinghouse directly from wallets taxes you for each transaction because you are moving directly from wallet to wallet. Kucoin is my favorite exchange.
