ebonics doesn't exist except in white culture. This is only because white people have an incessant desire to document phenomena. Black people have no idea that ebonics even exists or grammar (for that matter). Us white people like to think there is some structure to everything. In the case of ebonics, it's merely sound patterns of previously heard sounds with some individual meaning. Each black person has their own interpretation of the sound. Writing rules for their language serves no real purpose other than for us white people. I call it a language only because we tend to think in these terms. However, ebonics has no structure.
