Not chew hard, food hard to chew like hard Tac and Pemican
Not only that but fruits had thicker skins, breads were much denser and more nutritious, meat was tougher and people had to eat the shitty cuts too, people ate more vegetables and less nonsense like potato chips. Kids rarely got any special treatment. You ate what the parents ate.
It probably fucking sucked, but it was probably better for them. I have a picture of my great grandfather. Looked very similar to me, including the asymmetrical eyes/nose. The difference? His jaw was fucking wider than his ears. And his neck was even thicker. My jawline isn't even that bad, it's probably above average, but this guy was built like a fucking bull.
And barely milled grains ... and not very often ... hell ... in the past, meat was a fucking treasure.
Most of America looks like fucking UBER FUCKING RICH people of the distant past.
Its why the poor had tans and were muscled and lean while the rich were pasty and fat. It was looked down upon to have a tan or be in shape as it implied you were too poor and had to toil outside to make ends meet.
Now, as with most things, the opposite is true: we spend luxurious amounts of money to look as though we toil in the fields all day and the poor look as though they sit indoors and eat to their heart's content.
...
Thank you, brother ... for awakening me.
