Really useful searching forums for obscure technical troubleshooting issues because many forums lack any sort of search function.

Because they're based in the UK.

So they de-list videos and block certain terms instead deleting the videos.

Because they've had multiple hit pieces done on them in the last few years.

Yes. Their first search engine was just so broken it could not find things anyway. Two months ago they made a new one, and while it is not perfekt, it could be dangerous for them if it finds stuff that is illegal in the UK. If they don't host the videos on western servers, they may be fine, but they have to blacklist them.

I think that bitchute wanted to be like a YouTube competitor, not our personal based video hosting service. As you mention, being based in the UK is bad for that latter thing.
