Listen, I had ought to make a standalone post on this. As long as the internet is controlled and routed through ICANN, you will never have a permanent home online. Centrally controlled DNS, TLDs, and Routing will forever and always be open to snooping, redirection, attacks, etc. It is literally state-level control of the net. Distributed, citizen supported and controlled meshnet is the only way to have a non-controlled and censorship-free(ish) net. In time, Poal *will* become Jewed or it *will* shut down. There is no reason this site will not follow the path of other sites as it is built on the same infrastructure of other sites. Building your castle on mud, essentially. And as far as I can tell, citizen controlled internet is only out of reach because it is just easier for 99% of people to have the net centrally controlled for now. When they, inevitably, make the net so expensive and inconvenient to use that a Mesh system is more attractive for the majority, only then will we have it.
