The purpose of a holiday is to express gratitude and use that time to briefly enjoy being alive, and say thanks to those who gave their all for their people . In today's society we celebrate all sorts of things, most of which are just sick perversions of the originally intended idea. I am particularly disgusted at the fact that Robert E. Lees birthday, which used to be a holiday in the south of the united states, was replaced by a criminal, who did no more for humanity than say, a bucket of AIDS infested blood from san francisco.... Whole streets have been named in honour of this communist, who probably had more in common with a used needle, than he did with the common man. Yet, it is now our job to correct and educate, by virtue of our best selves. Today, while the dregs of society are celebrating being a loser and purposely intoxicating themselves into a stupor, I will be taking my kids on a hike through the woods. We will breathe in the fresh air. We will read stories by the creek, and we will learn together truths about nature. When we go to get fuel, I will show the world a happiness that no drug could ever provide. I do this, because I know that I am one step closer to being my best self. We must all honour the Fuhrer's birthday today with our best selves and hopefully encourage others in the process.
