I think I might know what you're referring to, but first I would like to say don't let it get to you as it's simply friction to help us express ourselves better.
Citations are important because people desire integrity (the alignment of what they say, feel, and mean versus what universally is true). It is one of the very things that drove people to this community and away from the overly cultivated echo-chamber type sites like Reddit. We're enmeshed with communities of all levels and the further from ourselves physically we are communicating, the hazier information becomes because a lack of personal familiarity. The friction we feel is part of engagement and is merely a way for us to rectify our thoughts and ideas.
The message you express here is true and motivating. Without purity of heart, and focus on the real issues, our actions (and words) are fruitless. With some of the friction here, it is indirectly a good thing to remind us that the radius of control is closer to our person and the real fight is local then outwards. Thank goodness for this community though, as I have found a great deal of information to share with my friends and family ... who are rightly sick of me at this point as well.
So, we have friction on both ends. Just an inevitable consequence of our iterative attempts to bring positive change. Kind of like the feedback loop of an experiment.
As you say, though, the place things need to be solid is in our hearts and minds. This is why I see this friction as not part of the battle, but a calibration. The real pain to cause our enemy lies in taking ourselves out of their perverted systems and constructing order near us and in our purview.
The friction will never cease and will guide us. When the best ideas float, and they're just at the right frequency, there won't be any friction. So, keep stabbing away at it and bring on the memes. People will continue to shit all over them and we'll continue to find (and create) stronger ones. Draw the moral line at attacks of character in disagreement.
Last week I posted a meme that had incorrectly drawn some of Trumps people blue. I had a few people bitch about it. All I could do is say, "yep, this meme might not be totally correct, I got it from another site." Anyone that called me a faggot over it was clearly misinformed, as I think I'm still a good guy. :)
Exactly this is as much an internal war as it is a real physical war. The information is a byproduct. We must be preparing for the reality of the situation. Thank you for your thoughts.
I appreciate you! These were never meant to devolve into aomething so serious. Just trying to start discussions!
That's right, that's why you need to stop posting useless memes, you're staring to get it son
