I'm of Austrian/German stock and glad of it. But people and customs existed long before they were countries.

It's good so far been having fun with my 4 year old nephew. Hes been pretending to be a ghost, chasing me, pushing me while I try to reason with him (I pretend to fall) , dragging me by my chain wallet etc.
Little guy has endless energy
That sounds like a great time. The joy of a child is the best experience in life, glad you get to experience it. Make it last as long as you can, we'll soon be back to the drudge and squalor of daily life.
This reminds me of a game I used to play with my nieces and nephews. It's a variation of hide and seek, called "hide." It was a test (and lesson) of patience to see how long they could hold out before giving up. that children are gullible, and we must protect them.
I've heard that Germans did not do the hokie pokie.
They didn't even know that's what it's all about!
