Actually this one still makes white text a little hard to read in spots where the background is white. You could try playing around with the CSS text color to make it contrast better, or go for an even darker background.
Big improvement though anyway.

He has a point. Another thing you could do is change the transparency values in the comment backgrounds. If you see an rgb(0,0,0,.1) or something like that, just make the .1 a higher amount.
