A Seattle woman overwhelmed by the presidential election brutally murdered her own father with an ice axe last Tuesday evening.

33-year-old Corey Lizette Burke was charged with first-degree murder after she repeatedly stabbed her 67-year-old father, Timothy Burke, with an ice axe after an argument about turning the lights off in the house.

Burke told officers she also strangled her father while he gasped for air, KIRO reported.

According to charging documents, Timothy Burke sustained injuries to his head and body, including bite marks on his back.

After Corey Burke murdered her father in the basement, she went upstairs and smashed windows in the home, prompting neighbors to call the police.

When police arrived they found a bloodied axe and shattered windows in the front living room.

The article doesn't mention the election. WTF kind of reporting is this? The headline could have also said "Seattle woman overwhelmed by BBC brutally murders her father."

The Dad wanted the lights off and to go to bed (he pays the bills), distraught 33 y/o daughter wanted to stay up to watch her heroine Kameltoe win because the lefty news all said she would ... but Kameltoe was never ahead all night adding to daughter's anxiety. Dad pushed the issue, she went ballistic. That was my take on it, filling in the blanks.

It was a mistake to close all the insane asylums. Someone who is living in their father’s house should be able to deal with being told not to waste electricity. A 7 year old child can cope better than this 33 year old woman did. She didn’t belong in society, and because she was allowed to be free and crazy a man has been brutally murdered.
