Potentially. The event does not have to be proven as a false flag. Ideally it would have either evidence supporting it as a false flag, or otherwise just be pretty fucking obvious. I hope to see active questioning in many cases, so be prepared to back your belief up in some way.
Well this case is pretty obvious, they've been pushing war against Iran for a few months now because they're preventing Israeli expansion into the Syrian golan heights by moving their forces there (public knowledge).
It makes 0 sense for Iran to try and attack random passing oil tankers in the Gulf when tensions are at an all time high and the U.S is looking for any excuse to launch an invasion. There is no benefit at all for Iran to do this.
