They're traditionally understood as part of the Bible, but they support a more Catholic understanding than most protestants are comfortable with so they get removed. The fact they were written in Greek reflects the fact that the Hebrews at the time were no longer an independent nation, but had been conquered and subjugated, and had to operate according to the Lingua Franca of the time (Greek).

It wasn't as though God had abandoned them - which is the impression you get from protestant Bibles which literally claim there were "400 silent years" between Malachi and Matthew.

I agree man; most are written in Greek and hence are present with the Orthodox and Catholics churches - though some seem to be Greek translations of older Hebrew texts that have been lost - others, are still considered worth a reading in orthodox Judaism. I think it's time for the hidden away to be read more common.

What’s really funny is when “1611 KJV” Baptist churches don’t realize the 1611 KJV included them. They’ll argue the 1611 KJV was itself a “special revelation from God”, but then remove the Apocrypha.

haha, I didn't know that, thanks for sharing - this is why I started this sub; people know all these little facts that help me see God's Word more clearly.
