Since the world seems to be going to shit, a sub to talk about food that can be stored for long terms seemed appropriate. MRE do not have a long shelf life by their own admittance. Sure they will still be edible though.

No, If I have any they get used for summer trips and new stuff purchased for the winter months. I rarely keep any laying around for more than a year.

It was nice having a hot meal that ice storm week...
