I'm gonna guess your interest in flashlights comes from your time in the service. Streamlight was one of the first really GOOD flashlights, but they went too proprietary with their designs, because they were getting govt. money so fuck everybody else and what they're using...until the new brands actually exceeded Streamlight in performance.
No service, but yes this was the first good affordable streamlight. Do what you want in the sidebar and if you want to make anyone else mod just let me know. I have bought many good lights and many disappointed over time. So far this one is good and doesnt hurt if it fails.
