Interesting. I doubt it's cache-related, but can try cleaning that if you haven't already. Do you know if it is only archive.today image links doing this, or does this also not load in expando? https://take-me-to.space/BpVxE5W.png

If it does load, does it still load if I put it into a table? If not, maybe something is funky with the table formatting causing the images to not load for you.

Ah. Thanks for trying that stuff to see if any of it helped pinpoint the issue. Sorry I can't think of what else to try just now to find what might specifically be the cause.
