As of right now (7-8 min since your comment), the linked archive.today images are loading properly in expando for me in both Waterfox and Ungoogled Chrome.

It’s all working here and when I have such an issue it’s either the connection dropping (domain/website blocked by the ISP or VPN) or the linked website not responding or blocking hotlinking. But it’s probably your ad-block that doesn’t like redirects.
