Reminds me of in the "End Times" series of books of how the Middle East will once again become green and fertile.

They were substantially greener until two things:

1) The Arabs cut down most of the trees, significantly increasing the evaporation rate.

2) The Arabs murdered the Mongolian ambassador. The Mongolians were put out by this and sacked multiple major cities and destroyed widespread aquaduct systems.

You know what you get when you increase evaporation and destroy the aquaducts? A miserable desert.

Very interesting I know that both Easter Island as well as Haiti had been deforestated as well. Arabs are such disgusting destructive niggers.

Even is deserts, there is still usually some moisture underground.

There are some fish eggs that can survive months of being in just slightly damp conditions. A dormant state.

Then, when there is a large rain, the fish eggs will hatch and the fish will reproduce and repeat the cycle.

Like wise, some fish can survive with just a little moisture for months. They go into a dormant state.

Here is a video of a guy digging live catfish out of a 'dry' pond: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvuSR2NLd1s

(I have no sources to share and I'm not an ichthyologist, so yeah.)

My guess is an overturned truck several yards beyond the shot.
