Yeah. I noticed that a few years ago. For the first 50 years of my life king tut only had the one snake, a cobra, on his headpiece. Now it is always with that other thing.

Having a snake or cobra on the sarcophagus crown is not uncommon. You can do an image search for Egyptian sarcophagus and find other examples. If your question was only about King Tut's crown, then I don't recall one way or the other.
