Why do you say that? If you canthink of that possibility then are you assuming witnesses of these events were too dumb to come to your conclusion?

Fun fact the origin of dragons breathing fire is people misinterpreting drawings of snakes/lizards with red forked tongues since they'd never seen any such animal before. People often make fantastical assumptions when presented with something they don't recognize, especially the farther back you go in history. Doesn't make them stupid, just wrong.
I see what you are saying. Although may I present two thoughts. There is literally a fire breathing beetle, so the "tech" is possible. Secondly, the bible references a beast that breathes fire. These do not disprove your assertion, just food for thought.
