Even with all the rational skepticism I can muster. I still find it impossible to ignore all the ancient and historic evidence that at the very least long long ago humans were in direct contact with "aliens" such that at the very least knowledge was handed down to humans at that time. I cannot come up with any other explanation for how ancient man would have known certain key details about the stars and planets without aliens. But also looking at megalithic structures themselves it is clear that at least in some cases of large stones there was some technology or technique they had long ago that we still cannot match today.

Even without all that evidence, I still struggle to imagine a universe so vast not containing any other life outside of our planet.

I think there’s life. I just think the universe is too big for us to ever meet it.

It sounds like you missed my point. I find it to be pretty much beyond doubt at this point that humans have at the very least already made contact long ago. Our "forgotten history" on this planet is our forgotten relationship with creatures beyond our planet.

There is life, we have already met it but we have forgotten at some point in the last 15k years.
