It looks like it could be a bandage. (files.catbox.moe) He already has a weird flap (americarisingpac.org) there, and his ear kind of looks like it might be bruised. Or it could be a skin-colored piece of tape to hold a wire in place.
But I'm not ruling out he's a lizard.
