Well that might be a problem for the traditional theory of evolution. “I fought against the conclusion as hard as I could” shows this is not the answer they wanted. It’s same problem anyone who is sure about history has, they look at a set of evidence and say this clearly means one conclusion when the evidence could suggest multiple conclusions and more is needed to know the answer. The theory of evolution is not a bad theory and perhaps it’s the best one out there for now but it most certainly needs refining, the data isn’t there to conclude our current model is accurate.
